Training

Guides and manuals

I promote active and participatory training approaches and have extensive experience in turning complex topics into easy-to-understand guidance. I specialise in writing training guides and workshop facilitation manuals on topics such as:

  • inclusive education;
  • inclusive teaching practice;
  • disability inclusion;
  • gender equity.

Online courses

I write and design online courses. I offer the following options:

  • content creation – research and write course content for the client to upload themselves;
  • content adaptation – adapt and edit a client’s existing face-to-face training materials into online course format;
  • full package – research, write and design content and support initial learner enrolment on a range of online learning platforms.*

* Working with my IT colleague, Alexander Hauschild, we can provide SCORM courses using Adobe Captivate and develop customised courses for Brightspace, EasyGenerator, LearnDash, and Mighty Networks, among others.

Coaching

Coaching and mentoring

I provide coaching and mentoring tailored to your specific needs.

I have supported previous clients with:

  • navigating the challenges of being a freelance consultant;
  • finding ways to prioritise wellbeing whilst leading a small NGO;
  • building the confidence to pursue promotion or career change;
  • thinking through specific project design or development challenges;
  • planning for or coping with change.

Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL)

In EFL, my horses and I support clients of all ages to improve their confidence, leadership and problem-solving skills, manage stress, and build trust, assertiveness and resilience. Please visit the WiseHooves website to learn more about EFL and my services.

Nature-based coaching

I also provide coaching sessions that use the natural environment but without the horses being involved.

In both my EFL and nature-based coaching, I specialise in working with people from the charity, public and education sectors.

Research and writing

I am a meticulous and analytical researcher and writer. I have researched and written a wide range of materials including:

  • academic articles.
  • training guides;
  • organisational and government policy documents;
  • advocacy materials;

I have also worked on:

  • literature reviews;
  • evaluations and meta-evaluations;
  • scripting and producing training films.

Editing

I specialise in:

  • improving the overall clarity and readability of complex documents;
  • synthesising and condensing documents;
  • adapting content for different audiences and purposes;
  • proofreading documents to comply with organisational house style;
  • formatting and designing documents in Word.

Environmental statement

Due to the environmental impact of air travel, I no longer undertake international travel to facilitate training workshops or conduct research and evaluations. However, I may be able to recommend trainers, researchers and evaluators living in or much closer to your chosen country.
